Mauricio Pochettino has hailed the 'perfect connection' between Tottenham's players and fans which was on show during this afternoon's 2-1 victory over Swansea City.

Spurs have now won six Premier League games in a row but had to come from behind to do so.

Alberto Paloschi fired the visitors into a surprise lead when he seized on Angel Rangel's deflected effort and beat a helpless Hugo Lloris from close range.

The north Londoners responded well and created chance after chance but struggled to find a way past Lukasz Fabianski until Nacer Chadli finally drew his side level on 70 minutes.

The Belgian's equaliser helped the atmosphere at White Hart Lane go up a notch and their support was rewarded when Danny Rose swept home the winner 13 minutes from time.

Pochettino was delighted by the manner in which his side responded to falling behind and is adamant the Spurs faithful deserve credit for the part they played in the turnaround.

"After we conceded the team showed belief in the way that we play and we were patient," said Pochettino.

"I need to recognise and say thank you to the supporters because they were brilliant.

"At 1-0 down they lifted the team and helped us try to achieve the objective.

"Today the connection was fantastic between the ground and the team. It was perfect.

Pochettino appeared to be close to diving into the home crowd after Rose's strike and the Argentine admitted it was an emotional moment, having seen his side fail to make their dominance count for so long.

"During the whole game we had more than 30 shots. Maybe it was a Premier League record.

"Fabianski was fantastic and it looked impossible to score. When the game ran you get upset, disappointed and frustrated a little bit.

"So when we scored the second goal you feel freedom in this moment."

Spurs are now just two points adrift of leaders Leicester as they prepare to face to London derbies against West Ham and Arsenal next week.

Pochettino conceded that while the mood in Tottenham's camp is good ahead of a crucial period some of his players are feeling the effects of their strenuous workload.

"It's an exciting moment for us - to keep the level - but some players we need to manage. Some players feel a little bit tired because we've come through a very difficult period."
