Neymar insists Brazil’s agonising defeat in the Olympic final will not be playing on his mind when he faces Sweden tonight.

Mexico beat the favourites 2-1 in Saturday’s gold medal match at Wembley to extend Brazil’s wait for their first Olympic title.

There is speculation that Mano Menezes — who led the Games squad and is in charge of the full side — could lose his job although a decision will not be taken until he returns to Brazil next week.

All bar two of the Olympic squad are in Stockholm for the senior friendly and Neymar is sure there will be no hangover.

The Santos forward said: “Life goes on. I am satisfied with the Olympics and we won a silver after all. I’m happy I was there.”
