Onward Cristian? Not according to Watford boss Sannino

Watford midfielder Cristian Battocchio is expected to feature against Bournemouth tomorrow, despite speculation linking him with a move away from Vicarage Road.

Battocchio’s agent claims the midfielder, 21, is on the verge of leaving Watford on loan but coach Giuseppe Sannino says he is in contention for the game

Meanwhile, Fulham midfielder Derek Boateng is set to join Watford on loan until the end of the season.

Boateng said: “I was saddened with Martin Jol’s departure and realised that I have to move on in search of more playing time.”
