New photos of West Ham's former home in Upton Park undergoing demolition work have appeared on social media, six months after the club vacated the Boleyn Ground for a move to Stratford.

Property developer Barratt London began the process of knocking down Upton Park, West Ham's home for 112 years until May, on 18 September with the work expected to take a number of months to complete.

The London developer will build 842 homes, including 211 affordable houses, shops, a library and new cycle routes on the site and also commemorate West Ham's time in the area with a new statue of Hammers legend Bobby Moore.

The large club crest that adorned the front of the Boleyn Ground and the iron gates that welcomed fans were first removed in October, and new pictures on Twitter show the changes that have now occured within the stadium.

Farewell to the Boleyn Ground after 112 years

The pitch has been dug up while parts of the roof and stands have begun to be taken down.

Barratt London completed the purchase of the Boleyn Ground from Galliard Homes in August before hosting the final-ever football match at the stadium to raise money for charity.

West Ham, meanwhile, have settled into life at their new base at the London Stadium with five wins in all competitions.
