Robin van Persie has dismissed reports linking him with a surprise return to the Premier League as a Chelsea player, reaffirming his commitment to Fenerbahce.

The former Manchester United and Arsenal striker only moved to Turkey in the summer, but has endured a disappointing time in the Super Lig, averaging less than a goal every three games and at times finding himself among the substitutes in European games.

With the English champions suffering from a misfiring strikeforce and Barcelona lacking support for their stellar trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar the 32-year-old has been linked with moves to both Chelsea and Barcelona. But Van Persie has no intention of leaving Turkey after less than six months.

He told Turkish Football: "There is a lot of talk about Chelsea and Barcelona but I have received no offers and I am dedicated to Fenerbahce."

Van Persie's statement comes just a week after his club had reaffirmed their commitment to keeping Van Persie at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium for some time to come.

"Over recent days there were many transfer reports about Robin van Persie in the media," it said. "But these are against our player's motivation.

"We don't have any plan for selling him and he wants to stay with us too. He is a valuable player of our squad and he is going to play for us."
