Sky Sports have launched a new dedicated channel to show every EFL match in the Championship, League One and League Two on the opening day of next season.

The broadcast rights holder will launch Sky Sports+ on August 10 to show all 36 EFL matches across the three divisions, including the Saturday 3pm BST kick-offs.

It will navigate English football's long-standing 3pm blackout rule, which isn't in play until the weekend after the Premier League season starts.

Sky Sports+, a complimentary addition to all Sky TV, NOW, and Sky Sports mobile subscription packages, is designed to enhance the existing viewing experience.

In addition, all 72 EFL clubs will have at least 20 televised matches and camera angles and production values will increase from the Championship down to League Two. The rights holder will show four times as many matches.

No new time slots will be introduced to reduce travel disruption for match-going fans as broadcast coverage increases.

Sky Sports+ will attempt to broadcast over 1,000 matches and can serve up to 100 streams simultaneously.

They will also increase PGA Tour golf, ATP and WTA tennis tour and Super League rugby coverage while upping the interactivity on Formula One digital broadcasts.

The new digital products aim to serve over 50 per cent more live sports annually.
