Slaven Bilic invites West Ham fan to post-match Sunderland interview on 18th birthday

Slaven Bilic invited one lucky West Ham fan to enjoy his 18th birthday behind the scenes as the Hammers beat Sunderland 1-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.

After watching Michail Antonio earn the Hammers a hard-fought victory at the Boleyn Ground, Bilic invited Matthew, 18, to his post-match press conference, and revealed that the young fan had been with his squad before the game.

Bilic introduced Matthew alongside him to reporters, saying: "Matthew, Matthew, Matthew, is our big fan, he came here - it is his 18th birthday and he was with us before the game in the dressing room, and we like each other."

Matthew replied to Bilic's statement with an emphatic "Yeah!", before fielding a question himself.

Asked about the Hammers' performance, Matthew replied: "I think they played very well, and I think there's great players who Slaven has signed."

Bilic replied with a flattered "Oh!," before adding: "I love him even more!"
