Representing your country is often seen as the pinnacle of any footballers' career.

Five of Mauricio Pochettino's current Tottenham side have been included in England's 2016 squad, and all look confident of starting for the Three Lions in France this summer.

While the international careers of the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli are in their primitive years, many White Hart Lane favourites have gone before them.

Spurs boast a long and proud tradition of providing players who have excelled in north London to go on and carve out a niche at international level, but who can count themselves to be among the best ever?

The youngsters who are marking their mark in the modern era have a long way to go before they can knock their elders off of their perch, and our side has a distinctly vintage feel about it.

But with Kane, Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker all off to the Euros, Spurs and England will be hoping that the latest class have the talent to go all the way and stake a claim among the greats.
