Tottenham miss out on AC Milan-bound Huntelaar

Italian job: Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will not be joining Tottenham
11 April 2012

AC Milan have reached a deal with Spurs target Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, ending the player's unhappy eight-month spell with at Real Madrid.

The Dutch striker is expected to travel to Milan later for a medical and to sign his new contract, Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said.

"We have a deal with Real Madrid," Galliani told Italy's Sky Sport 24 TV channel. "All that's missing is the player's medical exams and the economic agreement with the player."

Galliani did not disclose details of the deal with Madrid, saying only that Huntelaar would not be on loan but would transfer permanently to Milan.

The news marked a double blow for Harry Redknapp in the transfer market as French club Toulouse slapped a £25m price tag on midfield target Moussa Sissoko.
