Representatives of the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust held a “positive” meeting with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and other club officials last night.

The talks had been in the diary for some time and were not scheduled in response to poor results, as was suggested in some quarters. But many fans have been unhappy for some time, particularly at the idea Tottenham would play home games in Milton Keynes while their new £400million, 56,000-seat stadium is being built.

The minutes of the meeting are still to be released but the Trust released a statement soon after its conclusion, which read: “There were a number of positive outcomes from the meeting including a commitment to more comprehensive communication moving forward and an acceptance of past errors in this regard. There were very encouraging talks around ticket pricing, along with detailed discussion around the new stadium.

“We obviously have some concerns and outstanding issues remain. However, we look forward to further constructive dialogue with the club.

“The club engaged fully and in detail, making as much time available as was needed to complete the agenda, which was appreciated by THST.”
