Spain striker Paco Alcacer has left Barcelona to join Borussia Dortmund in a permanent deal, the German club announced on Friday.

Alcacer joined BVB in the summer in an initial loan move with an option to buy, and the 25-year-old has impressed with nine goals in just eight appearances so far.

That convinced the Bundesliga side to push through the €21million (£18.5m) deal - plus €5m in possible add-ons - for the striker and he has signed a five-year contract with the Dortmund club.

“Paco is here for good!"” the club wrote in a tweet on Friday, alongside the hashtag #Alcacer2023.

Alcacer spent two seasons at Barcelona after signing from Valencia in 2016, but saw his opportunities limited at Camp Nou.

He scored 15 goals in 50 appearances for the Catalan club.
