Cristiano Ronaldo may have had a World Cup to forget but the Real Madrid star remains an ad man's dream.

The 29 year-old Portugal attacker stars in a new advert for shampoo in which he uses his agility to dodge giant balls of dandruff in a strange pinball type arena.

Ronaldo, who welcomed new £63m signing James Rodriguez to the Santiago Bernabeau this week, failed to make an impact on the World Cup after Portugal crashed out in the group stages.

The 2013 Ballon d'Or winner however remains one the most marketable athletes on the planet with a series of lucartive deals for brands including Nike, Samsung Konami and now Unilever.

He joins the Luis Figo, Joe Hart and David Beckham in the pantheon of footballers who have advertised hair products.
