West Ham will have the highest number of season ticket holders in London next year after the club announced that their entire allocation of season tickets for their new home at the Olympic Stadium have sold out.

The Hammers confirmed on Monday that 50,000 season tickets have been snapped up by supporters ahead of the club's move from their current 35,000 capacity Boleyn Ground base to Stratford in the summer, meaning West Ham will have the highest number of season tickets in the Premier League next term.

Speaking about the unprecedented demand for tickets for the Olympic Park, West Ham Vice-Chairman Karren Brady said: "David Sullivan, David Gold and I have always believed in the West Ham fanbase and knew we could fill the new Stadium.

"Reports consistently show that we have highest average capacity in the Premier League and every game in our final season at the Boleyn Ground sold out within days of going on sale.

"Without doubt, our stadium move is an unrivalled success story, but we know the hard work does not stop now. We must deliver a stadium that exceeds our Season Ticket Holders' expectations and support Slaven Bilic in building a team on the pitch that matches our stunning new home."

West Ham will play their final home match at the Boleyn Ground on Tuesday when the Hammers host Manchester United at Upton Park.

The club currently sit in seventh position in the Premier League standings, but can move above sixth-placed Southampton with a win.
