Yossi Benayoun must wait for QPR bow

Yossi Benayoun is not ready to make his Queens Park Rangers debut against Blackpool tomorrow.

Manager Harry Redknapp today confirmed the midfielder, (in action for Israel, above), who has not played in England since May, is short of full fitness.

“He has not played for a while and he will work hard and train all weekend,” said Redknapp.

“We have got to get him fit and ready to play. He was unfortunate, we had a reserve game this week that he could have played but he was getting his work permit sorted out. He is a quality player but has been out of work and doing nothing.”
