Zaha was great but we’ll get by without him, says Crystal Palace's Jonny Williams

Jonny Williams admits it will be difficult to replace Wilfried Zaha next season but is confident Crystal Palace will cope without their star man in the Premier League.

Zaha will complete a £15million move to Manchester United this summer, having been signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in January.

The England winger left in style by helping Palace beat Watford in the Championship Play-Off Final on Monday and midfielder Williams says he will be missed.

Palace manager Ian Holloway will consider asking new United boss David Moyes to loan Zaha, 20, back to Selhurst Park for another season but admits a deal is unlikely.

“He will be a big miss,” said Williams, 19. “He is an impact player and has shown that throughout the play-offs and that is why he is worth what he is.

“He was top drawer on Monday and it was a great way for him to sign off from the club. We can’t thank Wilf enough.

“It will be weird playing against him but we will get a good squad together and we’re going into the Premier League to win.”

Meanwhile, Palace top scorer Glenn Murray is positive that he will make a full recovery from his serious knee injury in time to play next year.

It was feared the 29-year-old striker could miss the whole of the 2013-14 season after undergoing surgery last week.

But Murray, who scored 30 goals in the Championship this term, said: “It is still a worry but I will be pretty disappointed if I wasn’t fit to play.”
