Forssell's selection headache for Ranieri

Adrian Curtis13 April 2012

Chelsea striker Mikael Forssell is giving coach Claudio Ranieri a selection-dilemma after coming on as a substitute to score his ninth goal of the season in the 4-0 win over Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.

Forssell, who has taken on the mantle of previous 'supersub' Tore Andre Flo, regularly sits on the bench because Eidur Gudjohnsen and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink have hit 49 goals between them this season.

Ranieri said: "Every match is a nightmare for me because Mikael scores and wants to play more."

Goals from William Gallas, Gudjohnsen, Sam Dalla Bona and Forssell, put Chelsea, who play Liverpool next, within three points of Newcastle and a Champions League place.
