Henman and Rusedski sow seeds for glory

13 April 2012

Tim Henman goes into tonight's clash with Frenchman Fabrice Santoro knowing he is one of the few seeds left in Vienna's CA Trophy.

British No1 Henman is one of only two seeds to have reached the second round after his 6-3, 6-1 win over Switzerland's Marc Rosset yesterday.

Defending champion Greg Rusedski, who knocked out Olympic gold medalist Yevgeny Kafelnikov in the first round, meets Fernando Vicente of Spain tonight.

Meanwhile, in the third round of the Japan Open, top men's seed Gustavo Kuerten of Brazil came from behind to beat Italian Andrea Gaudenzi 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, while reigning women's champion Amy Frazier of the United States eased past Austria's Silvia Plischke 6-1, 6-2.
