Hock in the dock

12 April 2012

Great Britain forward Gareth Hock has been ordered to appear before the RFL disciplinary committee charged with making a dangerous tackle in Wigan's 18-16 win over Catalans Dragons on Saturday.

The second-rower was placed on report by referee Ian Smith for the challenge on Australian forward Jason Croker in the second half of the match at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium.

He will appear before the committee on Tuesday along with Hull KR second-rower Iain Morrison, who has been charged with alleged striking during his side's 17-10 win at Huddersfield.

Morrison was sin-binned by referee Ben Thaler after coming to blows with former team-mate Stuart Jones, who was also shown the yellow card for retaliation. The incident was put on report.
