Hodgson is hopeful over Etuhu injury

Dickson Etuhu is out of Fulham's FA Cup tie at Swansea on Saturday as well as the following game against Manchester United after twisting his ankle at the JJB Stadium.

Etuhu, 26, was replaced by new signing Olivier Dacourt in the dying moments of the first half of the 0-0 draw with Wigan and will undergo a scan today.

"I sincerely hope it is not any more serious," said manager Roy Hodgson, whose side face two demanding away games before the visit of West Brom on 22 February.

Meanwhile, Danny Murphy is backing Bobby Zamora to rediscover his goalscoring form after the former West Ham striker's glaring miss against Wigan.

Zamora headed over his side's best chance from inside the six-yard area.

"He's a strong character, Bob, and like any player you go through good spells and bad spells," said Fulham skipper Murphy.
