Horne signs new Hull deal

12 April 2012

Richard Horne has signed a new three-year deal with Hull after an injury-plagued season.

The 26-year-old suffered a potentially career-ending neck injury in April but made a sensational return when Hull took on St Helens in the Carnegie Challenge Cup final at Wembley in August.

"I'm delighted, especially after the year I have just had," Horne said. "It has been so frustrating but now I can get back involved and feel part of things again."

He added: "Basically I have lost a season and I am keen to make up for it.

"People have said it will be like having a new player in the squad, and they are probably right because all I want to do is get back playing and producing the kind of performances I know I am capable of."
