Grand National 2019 TV channel: How to watch horse racing via live stream online, on TV and radio

The 172nd annual running of the Grand National takes place at Aintree Racecourse near Liverpool on Saturday, 6 April.

More than 150,000 people are expected to be in attendance across the three-day meeting, with the main race offering £1million in prize money.

Last year's winner Tiger Roll is looking to become the first horse since Red Rum in 1974 to win back-to-back Nationals, and is favourite to do so after a brilliant win at the Cheltenham Festival last time out.

In total, 21 races are run at the meeting, across three days, with the main event at 5:15pm on Saturday.

Here is how you can follow the action all week...

The first race is at 1:45pm on all three days, with the final race at 5:15pm on Thursday and Friday, and 6:20pm on Saturday.

ITV will be showing the middle five races on the card on all three days, with The Opening Show every morning previewing the day's action.

ITV is available across Freeview (channel 3), Freesat, Sky and Virgin (all channel 103). UK viewers can watch ITV and ITV4 online for free via the ITV Hub.

Racing TV will have full coverage of every race during the meeting.

The subscription channel is available on Freeview and Youview (both channel 261), Sky (channels 426 and 874) and Virgin (channel 536).

A monthly pass for complete coverage is £24.98 per month, or £10 for one-day access. Racing TV is also available online, included in the package.

BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Radio 5 live sports extra will have radio commentary and are both available online for UK-based license fee payers.
