Hreidarsson keen on Gers move - Agent

12 April 2012

Hermann Hreidarsson would be interested in a summer switch to Rangers, according to his agent.

The Portsmouth defender, 34, is out of contract next month and is currently mulling over his options.

Agent Olafur Gardarsson told the Scottish Sun: "I know Hermann is one of the options Rangers have looked at. He is out of contract in the summer and already a couple of clubs have said they want to get him on board."

He added: "I'm not sure what will happen in terms of Hermann's future. Only time will tell.

"But Hermann likes the idea of playing in Scotland and he would do a good job there.

"He has played his club football in England for a long time and this would be something new.

"People will talk about his age but his physical condition is fantastic. He can play for another three or four years."

Hreidarsson can play at left-back or centre-back and has been capped 82 times by Iceland.
