Jose could win the lot, says Becks

David Beckham has said it would be great for football if Chelsea went one better than Manchester United and won the quadruple.

Jose Mourinho's team, who are seven points clear in the Premiership and still in the three Cup competitions, are attempting to go even further than United, who won the treble six years ago.

"It is great for football that there are teams going for these sorts of things," said the England captain. "And anything is possible.

"People said it was impossible for United to do the treble in 1999 but we proved them wrong."

The Real Madrid midfielder has been impressed with the speed with which Mourinho has adapted to managing in England.

Beckham said: "I respect Mourinho a lot because with the way Chelsea are playing - he has that arrogance. But he backs it up with what he does with the team and the players.

"Also the way he does his press conferences is impressive. He is so relaxed and confident about the team.

"That is what we had when I was at Manchester United. The manager stuck up for you and believed in you. When you have got that with the manager, the influence carries through the team.

"I am happy in Spain but Mourinho is a man players want to play for."
