Les Trotters off to Bolton

14 April 2012

Les Ferdinand has today signed a one-year deal with Bolton.

The 37-year-old accepted Sam Allardyce's offer to remain in the Premiership despite being offered a new deal by Leicester City, who were relegated last term.

The former England star becomes the second signing at the Reebok Stadium this summer after the arrival of fellow striker Michael Bridges.

Manager Allardyce told the club website, www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk: "Les Ferdinand is a goal scorer.

"Last season he scored 12 in 28 in what was a struggling side. He found the back of the net on two occasions against us last season."
