Logan backing the Scots

14 April 2012

Kenny Logan today urged the Tartan Army to relax. The 31-year-old Wasps winger is refusing to get swept along by the growing number of doubters who believe Fiji will knock Scotland out of the competition on Saturday.

Logan admitted the record 51-9 defeat by France last weekend was a serious setback but said: "We didn't perform in certain areas and it has taken a couple of days to get over it but we can take some positives.

"If we beat Fiji we are in the quarter-finals, it's as simple as that."

Logan will be winning his 69th cap, behind only Gregor Townsend on the all-time Scottish list, but he is sticking to his decision to retire at the end of the competition. "I won't change my mind," he said. "I am getting too old now."
