Mayo set for first start

Ray Lewington will give new signing Paul Mayo his debut in tomorrow's First Division game at Bradford.

Injuries to Neil Cox and Jack Smith during Watford's 3-1 defeat at Stoke mean Lewington looks set to start with his £60,000 capture from Lincoln.

"Paul's in a bit of a whirl but it looks like he will have to play at Bradford," said the Watford boss.

"We didn't defend well (at Stoke) but I have to be careful because we've just won three on the trot and the players couldn't be faulted for effort."

All the goals came in the first half, with Heidar Helguson on target for Watford.
