New deal for Roberts

12 April 2012

Blackburn striker Jason Roberts has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until at least 2011, with the option of a further year.

The 30-year-old has cemented his position at the club after manager Paul Ince's arrival at Ewood Park in the summer.

Roberts said: "I've been happy since I've been here for the majority of the time, so I'm happy that it is now signed, sealed and delivered."

He added: "I hope to show the best of my abilities on the pitch.

"It is for another three seasons so I'm very happy with that. I feel good, I feel strong, I feel like I've got a lot of experience and hopefully it will all come together now."
