The glamour of the NBA will return to London next January after it was announced today that the O2 Arena will stage a regular season game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Brooklyn Nets.

It will be the eighth time that America’s basketball league has been played at the O2 and the fourth time there has been a “regular season” game in the UK.

Among the players will be NBA All-Stars Al Horford and Deron Williams while the Brooklynettes cheerleaders (pictured above reading the Evening Standard on the tube), may also be performing.

NBA Commissioner David Stern said: “We will bring the NBA experience to more fans.”
