Raul fear for Real future

Raul has said for the first time he would leave Real Madrid if he was deemed surplus to requirements.

"After 11 years here I want what's best for Real," said the 27-year-old captain. "If at some time I have to sacrifice myself in order for the team to progress then I will do it."

Raul, whose contract runs until 2010, has been criticised in the press for his poor form, but he said: "I want to stay here and I believe the club feel the same way."
