Romo is out and stand-in also suffers

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo broke his collarbone as his side lost 41-35 to the New York Giants last night.

Romo was hurt early in the second quarter when he was hit by Giants linebacker Michael Boley and after having his arm put in a sling watched the rest of the game from the sidelines.

Romo was replaced by 38year-old Jon Kitna, who completed 16 of 33 passes and was jeered by the home fans after poor play from the Cowboys offense.

However, Romo said: "Jon is a good player and will show that."
