Rooney ‘back for England’

13 April 2012

Wayne Rooney will be fit for England's World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Belarus.

The Manchester United striker injured his ankle during the second half of his side's 3-0 Champions League win in Aalborg on Tuesday and feared he may have damaged ligaments.

A club spokesperson said: "Wayne has an ankle injury, but he should recover in time for England's matches."
