Rovers shock high-flying Dragons

12 April 2012

A dominant second-half display saw Hull KR to a 30-16 victory over the Catalans Dragons at Craven Park.

Kris Welham and Chaz I'Anson cancelled out Greg Mounis and Younis Khattabi's tries as Rovers went into half-time 12-10 to the good.

Ben Fisher, Ben Cockayne and Mick Vella gave the hosts a 20-point lead before Vincent Duport pulled one back. Rovers had Stanley Gene placed on report.

Wigan destroyed Hull 66-6 with a ruthless display at the JJB Stadium as Joel Tomkins helped himself to a hat-trick.

The Warriors never looked back after three tries in the opening quarter. Pat Richards grabbed two tries and eight goals and there were also doubles for Iafeta Paleaaesina and George Carmont.

Jamie Thackray crossed under the sticks for the dismantled visitors but it proved to be scant consolation.
