Chris Ashton will make his Harlequins debut tomorrow after being picked to start against his former club Sale.

The wing’s Sharks contract was terminated by mutual consent in March and he joined Harlequins two days later.

The Covid-19 pandemic prevented Ashton from making his debut, but he will now do so tomorrow at The Stoop, as the Premiership finally returns.

Harlequins, who sit seventh, have named a strong side to take on second-placed Sale, who bolstered their ranks by signing England centre Manu Tuilagi during lockdown.

Wing Nathan Earle makes his first start since rupturing knee ligaments in April 2019, while Joe Marchant is in at centre after returning from his loan spell at New Zealand Super Rugby side the Blues.
