Smith wants Staunton to stay

Crystal Palace manager Alan Smith is hoping defender Steve Staunton will extend his loan spell at Selhurst Park.
The 31-year-old Republic of Ireland international, on a month's loan from Liverpool, has two games remaining of an agreed six with the First Division club.
He starred in Palace's 4-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend and can leave Anfield on a free transfer.
