Southampton v Arsenal

14 April 2012

(3pm, The Dell).
Away ticket info: Sold out
Last season: 0-1 (Henry)
Fact: Arsenal are unbeaten at The Dell since November 1994
Recommended pub: The Pensioners Arms (Carlton Place)
Like a trifle without the custard, Arsenal's season has promised so much, but in the end again fell a little bit short. It does seem a little harsh to criticise the Gunners when they have finished second in the FA Carling Premiership to qualify for next year's Champions League, reached the FA Cup Final and battled through to the quarter-final of this season's Champions League, but that's the rules of the game and manager Arsene Wenger knows that. The canny Frenchman is also aware that he needs to add a goalscorer to his squad during the summer - a ?fox in the box? to quote Thierry Henry - if his side are to go one better and win a trophy next season.
Verdict: GUNNERS FINISH ON TOP
