Sprint duo set to run the gauntlet

Pressure mounted today on Olympic sprint champion Kostas Kenteris to pull out of the Olympics today and save Greece from more embarrassment.

Kenteris and training partner Katerina Thanou were set to be seen in public for the first time today since checking into hospital following their motorcycle crash last week.

After postponing a disciplinary hearing twice because of their injuries, the International Olympic Committee is due to probe the sprinters over their missed drugs tests tomorrow. Yesterday it emerged the pair face a criminal investigation over the affair.
