Manchester United are ready to outbid Tottenham for Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni.

The £4.5m-rated Cameroon keeper had been expected to join Spurs at the end of the season but, as Sportsmail revealed last month, United's chief European scout Martin Ferguson has made a couple of checks on the 24-year-old and is interested.
Spurs believed they had a deal agreed in principle — although manager Juande Ramos was not too happy for that interest to be revealed — yet United's move has turned Kameni's head.
As much as a move to White Hart Lane would make more sense, alongside a manager who knows him well, his management team IMG would like a switch to Old Trafford.
United's need to bolster their goalkeeping options will be underlined this weekend, when a thigh injury to Edwin van der Sar, 37, means Ben Foster has a chance to make his first United appearance at Derby on Saturday, with Tomasz Kuszczak suspended.
Van der Sar will be out for two games.
Dunne misses Spurs clash
Manchester City captain Richard Dunne is out of Sunday's game against Tottenham.
Dunne had nine stitches in a leg wound sustained in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Reading.
City are waiting for further news on Michael Ball's knee injury and are hoping that Nedum Onuoha's hamstring problem responds to treatment.
Derby midfielder Giles Barnes will see Dr Richard Steadman in America for treatment on the dislocated kneecap which will keep him out for the season.
"Hopefully, Dr Steadman can put it right," said Derby boss Paul Jewell. "He's the best in the world in this situation."
Taylor on Blades shortlist
Graham Taylor remains the favourite to become Sheffield United's new head of football from a shortlist that is likely to include two other former England managers, Steve McClaren and Terry Venables.
Venables fits chairman Kevin McCabe's criteria of wanting a senior figure.
At 46, McClaren is 19 years younger and more likely to want to return to the game in a managerial role.
But Taylor, 63, is seen as the perfect candidate by McCabe who told Sportsmail last week that he "would be my No 1 choice".
