Torghelle dive rap

Sandor Torghelle is getting a reputation for diving among his own Crystal Palace team-mates.

The Hungary striker was booked in the goalless draw with Blackburn for going down too easily and the incident sparked a 20-man melee.

Torghelle received a yellow card for the same offence at Charlton in October and was dismissed because it was his second booking of the game.

Palace striker Wayne Andrews said: "That is just Torghelle. It is just a different mentality.

"My intention is to try to stay on my feet but everybody plays differently. In South America they go down a lot. We have Ivan Kaviedes from Ecuador and even in training there is a lot of screaming and throwing themselves about."

Torghelle has struggled with form since arriving from MTK Hungaria in the summer but Hungary coach Lothar Matthaus believes he will succeed. He said: "Torghelle is strong, good in the air and aggressive.

"He has a good chance to do well."
