Yanks for the memory

American coach Tom Billups does not expect his team to beat France's second XV in their final match tomorrow.

He said: "We would have to play out of our skins."

The match has some historical significance - it is a repeat of the final the last time the sport figured in the Olympics.

But Billups doubts that the 1924 win by the USA in Paris will have much influence on a game 89 years later. He added: "It is an important part of our rugby history in America, but this French team is cut from a different cloth."

The USA will again be without centre Kain Cross but Alec Parker returns.
