BB knives are out for 'whatsername' Shilpa

5 April 2012

There were signs of tension in the Celebrity Big Brother house with the women starting to turn against Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty.

Jade Goody, Jo O'Meara and Danielle Lloyd had a bitching session about her after the group worked out their shopping list.

Jade's mum Jackiey has spent the week claiming she can't pronounce Shilpa's name and former beauty queen Danielle has followed suit.

'I asked for smoked mackerel and whatsername, Shullup, just looked at me like I was stupid,' complained Danielle. 'She's so controlling and bossy. I don't like that.'

Jade and Jo agreed that the Indian actress was 'too fake'.

But journalist Carole Malone stuck up for Shilpa saying 'she's done nothing wrong'.

With half the audience turning off the Channel 4 programme since the launch episode, there were further signs of its decline yesterday.

Bookies William Hill said it had taken twice as many bets on ITV1's rival offering Soapstar Superstar in the previous 24 hours.

One of the housemates will be evicted today. Bookies make monosyllabic Jack Tweed - Jade's boyfriend - the odds-on favourite to go.

Film director Ken Russell, who quit the house on Sunday, has said he feared he would have a stroke if he had to stay any longer with Jade, Jackiey and Jack.

'I grew up in the slums of Southampton and we had a word for people like that - guttersnipes,' he said.
